Damask Divas Blog Hop - April 2014

Welcome to the Damask Divas' Ariana Blog Hop
for April 2014.

If you came from Mandy Leahy's Blog,  you are in the right place.
This month I had a hard time picking the perfect card to do, so I did several and I am going to let you choose your favorite.
The first two are gift card holders that I can never get enough of, because I tend to always give money or gift cards for Birthdays.
Using the Artiste Cricut Collection Cartridge I cut out the Gift Card Image on page 55 at 4.75".
And I used the negative space on the mat to size the top pattern just a little smaller in Cricut craft Room.
Using the Art Philosophy Cartridge I cut the decorative Rectangles at 2 1/8 and 2 3/8" respectively.
Then proceeded to decorate using the following items.

Pear Ink         Hollyhock     Outdoor Denim  Ribbon    Funky Blossoms
Outdoor Denim Cardstock              Joyful Birthday
   Z1790  Z1686                X7179B
Artiste              Art Philosophy     Tombow            Ariana Paper Pack
 Foam Tape    White Daisy Cardstock

Card No. 2

Artiste Cartridge Gift Card Cut page 54 at 4"
Using the Art Philosophy Cartridge I cut the decorative Rectangles at 2 1/8 and 2 3/8" respectively.

I used Ranger white embossing powder and Versamark ink to put the sentiment on the inside of the card.

made it my own.

How to make a Rosette!

I made a few little rosettes for a card that I will be showing later, so I thought I would share how I did it.  Sorry no video only pictures.

These are items you are going to need:

Cricut Artiste
Z1752 Optional

I started by cutting out several of the rosettes on page 54 of the Artiste Cartridges at varing sizes in Cricut Craft Room.

Then you just insert one end into the slit of the quilling tool and roll the cardstock around the tool as shown.

Hold in place with one hand while putting a spot of liquid glass on the bottom of the flower.

Hold down for about a minute.
Insert jewel in center if desired!
I usually let mine dry for a couple of hours before using them on a card.
Stay tuned for the card post soon.
